I was expecting a lazy & very normal day. It was the exact opposite. I took Savannah to preschool at 9:30am and went home. I put Abigail down for a nap and took a math quiz. Jake was supposed to go to a meeting at CSN before he picked up Savannah at 11am. I answered the phone at 10:50am not sure who was calling. It was someone calling for Theresa (Savannah's teacher) at the preschool. Theresa gets on the phone and says "I don't want to alarm or upset you BUT Savannah fell and the ambulance is on the way" I told her that Jake was two minutes away and he would be right there. I couldn't decide what to do. I wasn't sure exactly what happened. I called a neighbor (a GREAT neighbor!!) and asked if she was busy. She was having a church meeting at her house. I told her what was going and said I would call someone else. Oh during all of this Abigail was still sleeping and I didn't want to wake her up and take a cranky baby into whatever was going on. My GREAT neighbor said that they would all come over and help me. They were amazing to do that. Once they came over I took off and met Jake at the preschool as the paramedics were finishing up putting a bandage on Savannah. We decided to take Savannah over to the hospital instead of taking the ambulance. We checked into the ER and waited for awhile for the Dr. to come in and tell us what they were going to do. She had a HUGE gash on her forehead above her left eye. I saw it and it was very deep and long. They had to put two stitches inside and then 4 on the outside. The Dr. said she shouldn't have a big scar but we have to keep her forehead out of the sun for the next six months or so. Luckily I had my new cell phone and the videos I have taken of Savannah and the other kids kept her busy. When she wasn't watching videos Savannah was planning my birthday party. It made her very happy to think about all the fun we would have once we got home. The only time Savannah cried was when they were touching her head. All I will say about being next to her while they did the stitches was it was a horrible experience for me. I hated being there and having to watch her scream like that. She is a very brave and tough kid. I LOVE her very much and I am so grateful that nothing worse happened. They said that she didn't even have a concusion. I talked to Theresa after we left the hospital and she said that Savannah was running back into the classroom after playground time and tripped or fell. She hit her head on the corner of the wall outside the classroom which is made of bricks.
Here are a couple pictures and one video we took to show Maverick her hospital room.
Here is a picture in the car on the way to the hospital.

Here is a picture from tonight. We bought new bandages and I decided to get fun Spongebob band-aids. She really likes them and we had a little birthday party with balloons.
