Happy Holidays 2009!

We had a great year.  We are still living in Mesquite but we had quite a few adventures this year.  We went to Northern California for Spring Break/Easter, Zion’s for Memorial Day, San Diego and Lego land this summer.

This year Jake continued to teach mathematics at Virgin Valley High School in Mesquite and began teaching at The College of Southern Nevada part-time in Mesquite and Las Vegas.  Jake had a great summer staying home with the kids and being Mr. Mom while Toshia attended classes in Las Vegas.  Toshia is taking classes at The College of Southern Nevada in general education and has decided to pursue a degree in Speech Pathology.

Maverick turned six this year.  He finished Kindergarten and began 1^st grade.  Maverick loves reading and math.  He is a great kid!! Maverick is willing to try almost anything and is a terrific big brother.

Savannah turned four this year.  She is in pre-school and loves learning.  Savannah had a rough start to the year.  At pre-school in February, she fell and hit her head.  We ended up in the ER and she got a few stitches in her forehead.  Savannah is a tough kid and didn’t let that stop her from going back to school the next time.

Abigail learned how to walk in January.  She turned two this year.  Abigail is a very fun kid.  She loves playing with Maverick and Savannah.  Her favorite toys are any toys that her brother and sister are playing with.

We found out this summer that we are expecting our fourth baby.  Donovan Spencer will arrive in March 2010. Maverick is very excited to have a little brother.  He asks me almost every week how big the baby is and when he will be here.
